The Shanghai Literary Review will be launching 💣💣 ISSUE TWO 💣💣 Saturday December 16 at My Place Ruin Bar, 7:30pm. 

Mags on sale, combo deals for issues one and two, readings from contributors, drinks all night, as well as editors on a panel talking about our favorite pieces, the process of publishing an indie zine, TSLR future plans and goals, and answering all your burning questions. 💝

Open Mic & Reading at My Place

TSLR will be changing locations for our third open mic & reading, Saturday, May 6, 7:00pm. We're excited to be hosting the event at My Place Ruin Bar, located at 1788 Xinzha Lu, 3F. 

This month, we're featuring several of the local authors who will be published in the forthcoming TSLR Issue 1.

Bring your best poetry, translations, stories, and essays, and sign up to read to a supportive crowd of fellow writers and art lovers. Or just come to listen and relax with new friends. The rooftop bar serves drinks and food.

Come at 7:00pm to sign up for a reading slot, or email shanghailiterary@gmail.com to pre-reserve a slot. Please limit readings to 5 minutes, including introductory remarks. Original work only please.

Open Mic & Reading at Yuncai Cafe

TSLR is excited to launch its monthly open-mic series with its first reading on Friday, February 24, 7:30pm at Yuncai Café. Bring your best poetry, translations, stories, and essays, and sign up to read to a supportive crowd of fellow writers and art lovers. Or just come to listen and relax with new friends. Three of the editors of TSLR will be reading their work that night, and the bar will be serving drinks and snacks.
